Invisible Empire: A New World Order Defined
Where does the term New World Order come from, and how does this documentary, produced by Alex Jones, frame the use of the term?
From what I understand here, Adolf Hitler was the one who began the idea of 'The New World Order,' and Nixon's secretary of state actually voiced it out.
For starter, I think I heard "new world order" in this documentary well over 100 times. Second, from what I understand, there is a lot of paranoia surrounding the subject. By the sound of it all, there has been some kind of plan in place to create a new world order for quite some time. One thing I thought was interesting about it that there was a lot of talk about having one government, one currency, and one religion. The first two seem easy to deal with if this thing ever actually happens, but getting everyone on the same page about religion is basically impossible.
To my understanding the NEW WORLD ORDER term comes from Adolf Hitler, but that Kissinger was the one who brought it back to light but gave it a somewhat different meaning than Hitler did. The term basically means one small group of elites to run the rest of the world, with one currency and one religion. I agree with what one of the speakers said that although many are opposed to the idea, if changes happen gradually without anyone noticing them then a NWO is definitely possible.
Based on the video, I get the sense that Hitler was the first individual who actually introduced and warned people of this thing called “the new world order”. Although several politicians have mentioned “the new world order”, it appears that George Bush was the first to constantly mention the concept and even went as further as to copyright this term.
This documentary suggested that the new world order “emerged after the cold war”. Some people felt as though it should be called the new world “disorder” due to the potential chaos that it could cause. The chaos could arise from things such as the violation of privacy through the monitoring of phone calls and e-mail.
One of the main focuses of the new world order is the fact that there are too many individuals living in our world. This creates the desire to put in place population control tactics such as limiting the amount of children permitted by each household. The emphasis of the need for population control results from ideas such as an increase in population, has led to global warming since too many people are using the earth’s resources.
The documentary does not frame the new world order as being a positive societal change but rather it states that it is dangerous since it is “not a natural progressive idea”. As depicted in the film, the new world order will limit the rights of citizens and those who will be living in this new world order will be “pets” of the elite. It goes on to say that there are no limitations as to the extent that the new world order is willing to go in order to achieve dominance.
This was a very well executed and persuasive film, using evidence and effective visuals to make valid points. It does a good job of connecting many different theories throughout history. There are obviously many issues we are unaware of that are purposely being covered up. Although some of these theories may be true and have evidence to back them up, this film spread itself out too thinly, arguing too many different theories. It would have been more believable if it left a couple issues out and focused more in depth on others and evidence. Issues like climate change and overpopulation are real, now I don’t think we need to kill off 5 billion people, we simply can’t continue at the current birth rates indefinitely. Humans are affecting the earth through pollution and natural resource depletion, while it may not be quite as drastic as some people would lead you to believe, it is still one of the most pressing issues facing the future of our species and all the others who inhabit this planet. The theory that best caught my attention was the new world order. Although showing countless clips of people speaking about it validated their argument, it also made me think that it might just be a common phrase and not as conspiratorial as they want you to believe. Globalization is definitely a real and growing trend in the world today, fuelled by the rapid evolution of technology. Although globalization and even possibly globalism are possible realities in the future, I don’t know if it is as evil as the creepy music and edited interview would have you believe. Globalization is helping our economy and gives us the ability to access information and resources we otherwise may not have been able to. A global dictatorship does not seem appealing and would arise a plethora of problems, but a global currency could be beneficial in addressing everything from economic inequality to trade barriers. This documentary certainly made me think about some of the theories and arguments it presented and understand a little better there is a somewhat secretive world that many people know about or fully understand. But is it all an evil secret conspiracy designed by a small group of people to control the world? It is hard to know for sure, but highly unlikely. Are there powerful people conspiring to influence the way of the world? Almost certainly, but that is why they are powerful, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing that powerful people can influence issues. There definitely is and has been some dirty business going on for as long as the human race has existed, and will continue to be. The world isn’t a perfect place, but it also isn’t a planned out highly controlled conspiracy that this generation of technology and free-flowing information makes it out to be.
The term New World Order originally seems to come from a book published in 1919 by a Christian author which detailed a lot of the ideals and concepts now associated with the New World Order. The author H.G. Wells wrote about it later as well in a book. We saw the term used by Henry Kissinger in the 1960’s and who continued using it occasionally up to today. It was also later famously revived by George H.W. Bush in a State of the Union address, and subsequently was used more prominently by politicians and other powerful members of society in their interactions with the media, and through this exposure and some evolution to it along with a more information aware society with the advent of the internet, the term New World Order was effectively brought to where it is today.
It was interesting to note that the concept of a New World Order was being potentially practiced in some historical events such as in World War II when we saw Adolf Hitler trying to create a united Europe and eventually a united world (naturally with him as the leader of it all). There was even a mention of Hitler’s follow-up to his book Mein Kampf being referred to as ‘My Order’.
The documentary frames the New World Order as a secretive group of extremely powerful, elite members that are intent on controlling the top tiers of society, such as politicians and CEOs, in order to exert control and dominance over the world. Through this, they are seen to control consumer goods, information such as the media, as well as even elections with their members in positions of power. Often they are also members of other known secret groups such as the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg Group, and the Trilateral Commission, and the documentary also makes the connection that membership in these types of groups goes hand in and hand with being a member of the New World Order. It is easy to see how these types of conclusions are drawn when the rosters of some of these groups are listed and which include many rich and powerful people, and the level of secrecy they operate under.
It seems to me that New World Order is a term used loosely by a multitude of leaders in the past in order to define a pending upheaval in political idea or opinion. While the term has been dated back to 1919, I think the current way it is being used is reactive to globalization. The film frames this New World Order in a redundant way by repetitively showing clips of powerful people using the term. The film seems to spin a web of sorts using clips, cover ups and other scandals in order to create a conspiracy as opposed to exposing one. While it is undeniable that governments are corrupt, and do not necessarily provide the mass population with the proper information the New World Order has no factual basis within the film as a negative conspiracy. The world is becoming more globalized and the elite do have a lot of control over trade, global economies etc. The globe is becoming more intertwined and the evidence in this film shows a need for a global force to implement changes across the board. Despite using ‘monster’ music, exposing cover-ups and portraying all the individuals as bad guys I felt that if looking at this film critically, there are many fallacies within the argument. As opposed to attacking New World Order this film felt more like an expose of torrid government affairs. By framing the issue indirectly as opposed to making concise direct arguments I felt that the director lost validity in some aspects. Perhaps if the film had been more succinct in which conspiracies it wanted to expose it would have felt more authentic.
I do not think I understand the film very well due to I am an international student, and lack of western historical and political background knowledge. From what I understand here is that Hitler is the first famous people started using the term of New World Order, and he was trying to shape the world by taking a series of brutal actions such as world war and genocide, but his inhumanity and excessive ambition are so visible to the world and eventual failed. After these, any powerful people who want to rule the world started taking another approach that is to create influencing organizations secretly and distribute their policies to everywhere in the world by their shadowing governments in order to let the world functions in favor of their welfares by exploiting publics gradually. In another word, the governments are part of the secret society.
In personal opinion, I do believe there are sort of existences of such organizations like the Bilderberg Group or the Council on Foreign Relation, but I do not think they are as much powerful as the film described, and I don’t think they will achieve their final goal which is promoting globalization in order to shape global governance and then the world will be unified and they will become the only dictator of the world just simply because of the resistances and diversity of human. But I believe in the political system, there are over and under table arrangements between ultra business elites and political leaders, otherwise politicians will never win their elections without the supports and sponsors. In return, they will make some policies which are beneficial to these super powerful elites, or help them hide their scandals.
For the film itself, I think it is too long to make audiences to pay attention to every detail in it. If it focuses on some main events and analyze them more deeply, I would be more appreciate, but in general, it is a good film, and I learned a lot from it. I will tend to be more critical to more political events.
In the film, they led the viewers to believe that the term New World Order came from Hitler. I believe this was a sort of propaganda tool to try to put a strong negative connotation on the term "New World Order." While the term became popular during that era, it was also used by leaders such as Churchill, Wilson, and more famously much later on with George Bush Sr.
As mentioned, this film provides a very negative outlook on the New World Order. On numerous occasions, people in the film try to convey an image that many of the world's government officials and most influential people have created a unified group which allows them to have control over and manipulate the public. While an organization may exist and very well have had a strong impact on historical events, the so called "truthers" and conspiracists are shown using the New World Order as a scapegoat for most of, if not every, significant event over that past 50 years. I personally believe that because these people place all the blame of these events on the New World Order, that their claims lose any validity and make their views seem outlandish and absurd.
I feel as if the idea of a new world order has always been around. They mention it coming from Hitler a lot, but the idea of a one ruling state has always been a topic in history and todays society. People get power hungry, they want to own everything and everyone. Hitler slowly began to succeed at that, which was a scary story. While I believe that Hitler could have used his power for good, people don't believe good. The public believes bad, they look for someone to blame.
I think that the film is aimed to make people afraid and aware of the new world order. That this is a horrible thing that everyone should hate. Which, I do agree with. The film looks to find people to blame, people that they believe to be corrupting our society.
From what I inferred from the video the term "New World Order" has been around for hundreds of years, but has been gaining popularity over the last few decades. Just like most things that have been around for any real length of time, the meaning seems to have many interpretations and has morphed over the years. It seemed to have started out being portrayed as a way of streamlining common things in life such as governance, money and the like, it now seems as a forceful way of controlling people. The movie definitely depicted the notion negatively, as if it was a way for the USA to control the entire world. What I think is quite comical though is the negative portrayal of certain influential people such as Rockefeller, Morgan, Winfrey, who are all just very successful entrepreneurs trying to help out people in life. I think that this movie is trying to use fear tactics to create this belief that the "New World Order" is the biggest conspiracy of all times and will take away everything they hold dear.
Throughout history, the idea of a new world order has been ever present, even if not directly stated. Under Hitler's rule in Nazi Germany, or even in global organizations such as the UN, a new world order has always been seen as an idea to unite every person under a singular force or government. Evidence is shown throughout history of attempts, time and time again, to reinvigorate and implement this order. However is this order something to fear? As something that will destroy the very essence of freedom?
I feel that the main reason the idea of a new world order sounds so fearful and intimidating, is because of the connotation and context it is used. For example, Nazi Germany was creating a new world order by constructing the "perfect race". This was nearly accomplished by the acts of war, genocide, involvements in genetics, and much more horrific actions. I feel that because these plans were implemented in the past, that is why people are scared of such an organized force. However if we look at ideas such as globalization, we can clearly see that the world is converging into something related to a "new world order". When people think of that idea they assume the worst, such as Nazi Germany, yet it is entirely possible that while this order is being constructed and referenced, that does not mean the destruction of freedom. This "new world order" is different from the ideals of Hitler and Nazi Germany, but one created in the hopes of unifying the world through peaceful actions and democracy.
Many are scared of a singular power in case of corrupt officials that undermine the rights of the people, however that is not what the new world order being referenced is. This new world order is something created from the unity of the world, out of the need for democracy and peace after two devastating world wars in the last century. If put into that context, I think people can start to understand why the world leaders feel the need for a new world order, and why various officials have acted in the way they have in relation to many global events.
There is no doubt that the creation of a new world order is occurring, especially due to the increased need for globalization. But the idea this order is created from secret societies running the unified countries seems very absurd to me, and that is where this conspiracy theory has some problems. While it is in fact happening, people have confused the motives and goals for the order. Instead of peace, freedom, and equality, people have inadvertently linked the new world order with tyranny and corruption. If these misunderstandings are rectified, I believe this new world order could become one of the most powerful yet peaceful creations the world has ever seen.
The term “New World Order” mentioned in the documentary dates back to hundreds of years ago. The first date the documentary mentions about the New World Order dates back to 1919 when a book named “The New World Order” got published. It mentions the ideology and terms related to this very idea. Over the years, other politicians (depicted in the film) talk about the New World Order in the speeches they deliver at certain assemblies.
The documentary depicts the New World Order as one that favors a more collective society than that of an individualistic one. There will be one ruler and this ruler will have social control over its entire state. There would be one police force, one court, etc... Basically, the idea of the New World Order will be very similar to a communist or fascist government.
In the documentary, one of the very first’s individual’s who believed in creating a New World Order was Hitler. They mention that Hitler was in favor for a more collective society rather than that of an individualistic society. Even if the documentary states that Hitler tried to achieve this through selectively choosing a “better” race, the ideas associated with the New World Order could be clearly seen in Hitler’s vision.
Another person they mention is Senior President Bush and his vision on the New World Order. From his perspective, the documentary mentions that a New World Order to him was one that involved bringing the different nations together to prevent crises such as war. Compared to Hitler’s perspective, Senior President Bush’s vision of the New World Order can be seen as more of a positive thing.
The documentary makes it seem as if the New World Order is something that everyone should fear. The director of this film makes it appear as if this is a message to warn people about an “unwanted” future. This is implied because the film talks about the Bilderberg Group as if this group is threatening people’s lives. They even mention that brain chips could be inserted into someone’s brain, so they could keep track of that certain person or that the government could be listening/reading any online conversation at any moment. This makes the director of this film look rather paranoid because these ideas could be used at any moment.
Some believe the Adolfo Hitler was the one that started the new world order. In the video it talks about many different kinds of conspiracy theories that are related to the new world order. Everyone has their own opinions related to the new order.
I found it very interesting how this video walked you through time as the term new world order progressed. "The New World Order" written by Samuel Zane Batten's published in 1919 had some very intriguing points throughout the book that are associated with present ideas of The New World Order. It would have seemed that Hitler was following this book at the start of his rule until he decided that racial superiority was necessary. It was also very interesting to get the different perspectives from political figures and politicians on the New World Order. It was also stimulating to discover that the American government thought that being apart of WW1 would make them a major participant to carve up the world and become apart of the new world government (league of nations). Recently I found it surprising how much difficulty Obama had answering if he was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations trying to dance around the question, which many relate directly as a council to form the New World Order. In conclusion, I found this film interesting but it got pretty repetitive hearing New World Order so many times!
In the documentary, the term "new world order" comes from many politicians but Adolph Hitler is the first to initiate the idea of it but he was more racial about it. Former President George Bush Snr mentioned it often in his speeches and copyrighted the term afterwords. I personally think the term is almost a propaganda term to distract us from what's really going on in the world.
This documentary produced by Alex Jones displays the "new world order" as a unnerving group of people who are at the top, and have a lot of power and money who want to control the world or are controlling it. These people have control over society, and are influencing the congressmen, politicians, and more with their propaganda and are pushing towards a global government.
The new world order is not a hidden fact. The powerful people in the world repeatedly address it. It’s just that everyone has a different idea of what the new world order will be. If everyone knows about all these secret societies such as CFR, Trilateral Commission, and the Bilderberg group then it’s not very secretive. The things that spark questions by the people is how evasive the government becomes about certain aspects about the group. Americans are so used to information being hidden from them that its almost an expectation that they are being lied to. Knowing that the government lies to you just makes it much more easier to believe all the conspiracies that arise.
The process of creating a new world order must be done gradually so as to not attract attention, which starts people on asking questions. The description of what new world order would mean at the beginning of the film didn’t even seem like a bad thing. The whole world united as one could definitely take us into a more peaceful time. However any severe change causes worry and push back from the people that fear the unknown.
The end of the Cold War meant that a new world order would be in place. This in some sense meant the beginning of liberalism and market economies. This idea is meant to be believed this is how life should be lived, and now would be lived. The first in-depth publication was Samuel Zane Battens “The New World Order.” Adolf Hitler was one of the very first with the idea of world government, with him as the leader. Although, Hitler used this in a racial way making people believe some races were not needed in this world governance. The new world order could be described as the breaking of barriers internationally for trading of goods and services. As Bush Sr. describes it, countries will now be working together for success. The documentary frames the use of the word as those in control will be in control of the entire world. The documentary also uses many “elite” groups including the trilateral commission and the Bilderberg group to describe the new world order. The documentary is influential on the ideas that it might not be in the best interest for citizens and America as a whole. Even international speakers are unsure whether this is what they want because they don’t understand what they want with it. Along with, they do not want to lose their given rights to these people (the elite) and a secret society that make turn them into slaves. The documentary also describes many groups of people who gather together who plan all the international big events including and up to world war one, making watchers believe there is a secret society taking over the world without making it noticeable. It also notes the council of foreign relations to be the secretive government, since nobody in this organization is elected. The United Nations is said to be the leader organization of the new world order, the documentary tries to convince the audience that the UN is not actually creating peace but rather creating world governance. The media is also known to be the gatekeeper of this “New World Order.” The documentary turns any facts around and proves why they are all linking and leading to the new world order of global government ran by secret societies, even when some relationships have in fact no relationship at all; Including many events involving assassinations of JFK and Princess Diana, 9/11 and the use of global warming to further transfer global governance. The new world order also seems to involve any influential person or business in the past as well as right now including Oprah and many others.
The New World Order seems to be a concept that has been around for hundreds of years but the term never really came to be until the 1919 book "The New World Order" appeared. At that point it wasn't something that was well known but became more widespread after being used by Hitler. This also gives it a negative connotation that was established at the beginning of the documentary. They used the events surrounding Hitler and the Second World War to create a negative view of The New World Order that they kept throughout the film displaying how the producer (Alex Jones) felt about the subject.
The term New World Order was originally used as the title of the 1920 book by Frederick C Hicks. The term has also been used over the years most notably by Adolf Hitler and by George Bush Senior to describe their vision for the future of the world.
The film describes the New World Order as a world where a small of group of elites maintain a dictatorship over the entire population. National sovereignty and patriotism are non-existent, as all the countries around the world would be merged and ruled by one power. This one one government would then strip the general population of their rights and freedoms and control every aspect of the their lives.
According to the film, the shift toward the New World Order is done largely in secret. The elites will distract the public with irrelevant things that have no impact on their lives, so that the public will be unaware of the real issues. Furthermore, the shift toward the New World Order is to be done gradually, as any dramatic changes will automatically be rejected. Smaller, less dramatic changes would be accepted or in some cases, seen as an improvement to society.
The video appears to state that Adolf Hitler was the one that formed the idea of a "New World Order". Hitler appears to hammer home the concept of a new world order but I believe it was truly embraced by other politicians, such as Nixon and George Bush Sr. and Jr. The use of the term seems to state that only the few at the top will succeed and will use means of propaganda to convince the public to buy into their ideas. The term New World Order is used several times in several speeches by politicians to get the idea into the public's mind.
The term "New World Order" means an assortment of different things to different people. In the video, it is referred to a global political force with one ruler. This system would have social control over the people, and be dominated by a strong police force. The video suggests that the term was first seen in Samuel Bannes work "The New World Order" that was published in 1919. His book promote the idea of a "New World Rising" which suggested that under the oath of the Church, a global state should arise that would take social control over people and control of all resources. It promoted a World Federation that consisted of International court and police force. Adolf Hitler later used the term. He had a vision of Germany unifying Europe and the world. At the same time Hitler was a sick child molester who would make children eat peanut butter from his elbows. This sick and twisted leather lover later took absolute control of the people and the state through the use of propaganda. His racial driven campaign ended with his defeat in WWII. The term is later used by a variety of political speeches that depict the construction of a new world order. Henry Kissinger and Nixon administration promoted the idea to China and Indonesia. The idea was later used by Senior Bush administration that suggested a change in the worlds order after the end of cold war. The term is widely used as a means of depicting a new world where countries work together with one goal, one consciousness. It also viewed by some as twisted plot that will bring rise to a one-world government, ruled by few and suffered by many.
It seems to me that the term "new world order" is a very ambiguous term and changes from person to person, for me i think it is the idea of a central power who acts as a sort of global government, whether or not if its a secret plan that's in place by the current governments in the world i'm not sure about. I'm sure its gone across their minds but I don't think that they're going to as extreme of methods to get it to happen as the conspirators would like you to believe.
Figures like Hitler and Stalin were said to use the idea of a new world order to strengthened the propaganda for their regimes, later used by both bush senior and junior, this term has received a very negative overtone and attracted a lot of viral attention.
The Bilderburg group does seem fishy but i feel as if having secret meetings is just a way that the government conducts business, the main thing that makes it seem off is that it's a real, confirmed group and tat they are having real, secretive meetings. Who knows what their talking about? but being an extremist like Alex Jones is not the way to go about trying to figure that out.
It seems like the common use of the term "New World Order" in this documentary is : Social control over all people and resources ( Samual Battens's), Unify the world (Hitler), Diverse nations are drawn together in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind (George Bush).
The League of Nations was the first attempt at the New World Order but it wasn't until after the Cold War that nations started to work together and new ways were thought up to deter aggression. It was outlined in the video that the major leaders of our world were really set out to destroy it... Hence the overall meaning of the New World Order: A secret elite is conspiring to rule the world. The video just expanded on this cookie cutter definition and gave examples in history of major figures that fall into this category as well as more current examples.
The New World Order theory refers to plans put in place to create a new world with an authoritarian leadership, one currency and one religion. The first two can theoretically be achieved but the last one is to cause major problem. From what I understand from the video, the concept was introduced by Hitler. I can also see how British tried to conquer the world, and they did conquer about 90%, but in the end it didn’t turn out too well.
From what I understand here, Adolf Hitler was the one who began the idea of 'The New World Order,' and Nixon's secretary of state actually voiced it out.

ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that New World Order is a term used loosely by a multitude of leaders in the past in order to define a pending upheaval in political idea or opinion. While the term has been dated back to 1919, I think the current way it is being used is reactive to globalization.
ReplyDeleteThe film frames this New World Order in a redundant way by repetitively showing clips of powerful people using the term.
ReplyDeleteIn personal opinion, I do believe there are sort of existences of such organizations like the Bilderberg Group or the Council on Foreign Relation, but I do not think they are as much powerful as the film described, and I don’t think they will achieve their final goal which is promoting globalization in order to shape global governance and then the world will be unified and they will become the only dictator of the world just simply because of the resistances and diversity of human.
ReplyDeleteAs mentioned, this film provides a very negative outlook on the New World Order.
ReplyDeleteI think that the film is aimed to make people afraid and aware of the new world order. That this is a horrible thing that everyone should hate. Which, I do agree with. The film looks to find people to blame, people that they believe to be corrupting our society.
From what I inferred from the video the term "New World Order" has been around for hundreds of years, but has been gaining popularity over the last few decades.
ReplyDeleteJust like most things that have been around for any real length of time, the meaning seems to have many interpretations and has morphed over the years.
ReplyDeleteI feel that the main reason the idea of a new world order sounds so fearful and intimidating, is because of the connotation and context it is used.
ReplyDeleteThe documentary depicts the New World Order as one that favors a more collective society than that of an individualistic one.

ReplyDeleteIn the documentary, the term "new world order" comes from many politicians but Adolph Hitler is the first to initiate the idea of it but he was more racial about it. Former President George Bush Snr mentioned it often in his speeches and copyrighted the term afterwords. I personally think the term is almost a propaganda term to distract us from what's really going on in the world.
ReplyDeleteThis documentary produced by Alex Jones displays the "new world order" as a unnerving group of people who are at the top, and have a lot of power and money who want to control the world or are controlling it.
ReplyDeleteThe process of creating a new world order must be done gradually so as to not attract attention, which starts people on asking questions.
ReplyDeleteThe documentary frames the use of the word as those in control will be in control of the entire world.
ReplyDeleteThe term New World Order was originally used as the title of the 1920 book by Frederick C Hicks. The term has also been used over the years most notably by Adolf Hitler and by George Bush Senior to describe their vision for the future of the world.
ReplyDeleteThe film describes the New World Order as a world where a small of group of elites maintain a dictatorship over the entire population.
ReplyDeleteThe term "New World Order" means an assortment of different things to different people.
ReplyDeleteAdolf Hitler later used the term.
ReplyDeleteFigures like Hitler and Stalin were said to use the idea of a new world order to strengthened the propaganda for their regimes, later used by both bush senior and junior, this term has received a very negative overtone and attracted a lot of viral attention.
ReplyDeleteThe League of Nations was the first attempt at the New World Order but it wasn't until after the Cold War that nations started to work together and new ways were thought up to deter aggression.
